Project Scope

The client required the recruitment of a diverse population of patients for a clinical trial aimed at individuals with a history of heart attack, stroke, or peripheral vascular disease. Given the prevalence of hypertension in certain ethnic groups, it was essential that the recruitment strategy be inclusive, reflecting diversity in patient outreach and ensuring equitable representation of those most affected by these conditions.

The Solution

To meet this requirement, our team designed and executed a multi-faceted digital marketing campaign, with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion. We designed and developed a pre-screener and website, as well as a set of digital assets for paid advertising on META and Google platforms, strategically crafted to resonate with the diverse patient populations across London. In addition, we incorporated a customised dashboard that enabled real-time tracking and performance measurement of the campaign.

The outcome

The Meta campaign performed particularly strongly for this campaign with high levels of engagement in comments and sharing. Supported with the Google campaign, recruitment was strong across all four weeks of recruitment, and the study was able to be filled within this first round of recruitment activity.
